Sydney baker Andres Fatso is well on her way to becoming a household name, with her amazing range of sweet treats taking social media by storm and wowing buyers. She is a fulltime nurse and finds herself baking at all other hours of the day. The owner of Baked by Andres bakery has been promoting her cakes through Facebook and Instagram, with her imaginative designs creating quite a buzz. Most recently her pictures and videos of cakes that look exactly like soft drink bottles have left viewers speechless.
Ingredients
- 3 tsp dry yeast
- 1 cup milk warmed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 egg
- 4 cup plain flour
Filling
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tbs cinnamon sugar
- 1/4 cup butter softened
Method
- Mix all ingredients until a smooth ball forms.
- Once everything is mixed in, leave the dough in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Punch and separate dough to 12 even pieces.
- Melt butter then mix in cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll each dough piece into a ball shape, then flatten and place a small spoon full into the centre as filling then fold the dough back into a ball shape. Making sure all the sides are covered or it will burst during the baking process.
- Cut up 12 pieces of food grade string and begin to tie up the ball dough in 3 different sides of the dough. Creating a star with the string as shown in photo.
- Place the 12 dough covered in a warm area to proof again.
- Heat oven to 190C and bake for 10-15 minutes until brown around the edges.
- Once the buns are out of the oven, remove the strings.
- To make the stalk, get some package pretzels and place them in the centre of the bun.
- Enjoy!
