Natalie is a self-taught baker and cake decorator. Alcakemy was born in early 2016 as a creative outlet from full time work. Alcakemy aims to create cakes and petite desserts for celebrations that are both visually appealing and delicious to eat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 teabags of earl grey tea
- 1 tbsp of earl grey tea
Method
- Preheat oven to 160 degrees c – line mini cupcake pan with patties
- infuse the milk and earl grey tea - let the tea bags sit in the milk for approximately 15 minutes
- sift flour, baking powder into a bowl. Stir in sugar
- Mix in milk, eggs, vanilla and beat until combined
- grind 1 tbsp of earl grey tea and mix into the batter
- Fill cupcakes to 3/4 full
- Bake for approx 10 mins until skewer comes out clean, do not overbake.
- Ice with buttercream of choice
