Ingredients
- 30cm round baking tin
- 220g butter, chopped
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon fresh edible lavender flowers
- 2 teaspoons finely grated lemon rind
- 2 tablespoons icing sugar for dusting
Method
- Preheat oven to 160®C. Grease and line the base and sides of a 20 x 30 cm round baking tin.
- Process butter, sugar, flour, cornflour and egg, using the Quad® Blade in your Breville food processor until a smooth dough forms. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and gently knead in the lavender and lemon.
- Press into prepared baking tin. Use the back of a spoon to smooth surface. Use a small sharp knife to score dough into long bars. Bake for 45 minutes, or until just coloured.
- Cool in tin, dust with icing sugar, then cut into pieces to serve.
