Ingredients
- 2 cups raw organic almonds
- ¼ cup cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon maca powder
- 2 tablespoons pea protein powder
- 1 tablespoon spiralina powder
- Pinch sea salt
- 2 tablespoons each, chia seed, sunflower seeds and pepita seed
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
- 2-3 tablespoons almond milk or coconut water
- Desiccated coconut for rolling
Sweet Dukkah
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- ¼ cup lightly roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons pepitas and sunflower seeds
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
- 1 teaspoon honey
Method
- Place almonds into the Boss jug and pulse until roughly chopped (breadcrumb stage)
- Add the dry ingredients and pulse again until well combined.
- Add the honey, coconut oil and milk; using the blend setting, mix until well combined. Use the scraper as needed.
- Scrape mixture out into a bowl and roll into tablespoon size balls. Coat in either desiccated coconut or sweet dukkah mixture.
- To make sweet dukkah, preheat oven to 200°C. Combine all ingredients and spread onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in oven for 5-10 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool then process in the Boss until finely chopped.
