My name is Adelle and I run the blog www.wherethestyledthingsare.com a fashion, health and lifestyle blog residing in Perth. I pride myself on swapping not stopping, making a meal or treat but replacing all the bad ingredients with good so it's a guilt free dish! We all have flaws and nobody is perfect BUT I lost 12 kgs just from doing this so it works and I am proud of that, I am currently exploring my own recipe's and rediscovering old ones.
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 5 cups of filtered water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Half a vanilla bean, seeds scraped
- 5 pitted Medjool dates
- Nut bag
Method
- Place almonds into a bowl and cover with cold water. Soak overnight then rinse and drain.
- Place soaked nuts and filtered water into the Breville Boss Blender and blender on MILL for 2 minutes.
- Place the nut bag over a large bowl. Pour almond mixture into the nut bag and gently squeeze the almond milk out into the bowl.
- Place half the almond milk into a bottle and refrigerate, the other half we will be using for our vanilla milk.
- Put the milk back into the blender along with your dates, cinnamon and vanilla bean insides and blend for a minute.
- Strain again and serve in a jar!

In the ingredients you list nutmeg, but in method cinnamon. Which is it?
Hi Marlene
Thanks for catching that. It should be cinnamon. We have amended the ingredients. Have fun making almond milk.
